Bookings through Empire Artists International
History
First coming to prominence in the early 1950′s the Nelson Riddle Orchestra has been major player at the height of the music industry for over 5 decades. Forming the backdrop for legendary recordings and performances of such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Linda Ronstadt and Rosemary Clooney to name but a few the orchestra was considered to have had the Midas touch, turning vinyl to gold. Now conducted by Nelson’s son Christopher, the orchestra is enjoying a major revival which will see them tour the United States and Europe, star in a major musical musical theater production and record the original charts with notable contemporary artists.

Redevelopment
Since 2008 the orchestra has undergone a radical redevelopment which saw the ongoing development of the library and focus on the restoration of Nelson’s attention to dynamic, nuance and precision. Considerable detail has gone into creating the live shows to best convey the original arrangements within the theatre context so we needless to remark we have paid particular attention to the sound design aspects. The result is a series of concert performances and musical theater productions with an ever increasing repertoire of Nelson Riddle arrangements that enthrall and enrapture audiences worldwide.

Today the orchestra performs in either 17-piece BigBand format, 42-piece or 55-piece full orchestral format including strings, harp and f.horn. On occasion additional strings and wind players are added to really enhance the experience but all depends on the context, featured vocalist and other production parameters.
