Celebrating Ella at Carnegie Hall

We are hard at work preparing the for our historic event on March 16th at Carnegie Hall. Together with the New York Pops Orchestra under Maestro Steven Reineke we will see and hear highlights from the Ella Fitzgerald Gershwin Songbook. What make this historic? Well, since the recording these charts have sat in storage until now. Last month our executive director Francis Kiernan and librarian Danielle Acerra (Nelson’s Granddaughter) spent a considerable amount of time at the library of congress with Ella’s special collection in order to bring you this music back to life.

Steven Reineke with the New York Pops and renowned vocalist Patti Austin will host the event at Carnegie Hall which will also share the stage with the NRO and special guest conductor Christopher Riddle. If you want a sneak peak at the program, join us next week for more details.

Don’t miss the historic event that’s going to happen at Carnegie Hall on March 16th… there are only a few tickets left!
